Three Wheeled Buggies

Three-wheeled buggies are ideal for walking around the neighborhood or jogging. Their compact design makes them easy to manoeuvre even in tight areas.

MFM reviewer Kath tried this buggy on an infant and a 3-year-old child and found it to be very durable. It was able to withstand grass, cobbles and rough pavements, aswell as dirt tracks and kerbs. Kath said that "it is sturdy to push and extremely solid when you're on rough terrain. Its tyres (which are inflatable so need periodic pumping) come with suspension built-in that was very comfortable for my kids.

The size and shape of the seat is a further factor to consider. You want the seat to be big enough to allow your child to feel at ease and to lie down. Some three-wheel buggies offer a lie-flat option that allows your child to lie flat and face you, while other buggies only allow a parent-facing one.

The Roma Atlas is a great option for off-road and wet walks. This buggy can be used as a one-person unit from birth, and then expands to accommodate two children as your family expands. Larger wheels

Larger wheels mean your buggy will have more stability on rough terrain - ideal for off-road buggies. They also make it easier to navigate the pushchair through tight spaces. Many three wheeled buggies have rotating front wheels that aid you in maneuvering around tight corners, while others are designed for running and come with fixed front wheels that lock to increase the speed and stability with which they can be pushed. This is also helpful if you bump into the roots of a tree or stray kerb as the front wheel will lift up to keep you from hitting it.

A majority of 3 wheeled pushchair wheel pushchairs come with air-filled tyres, which means they can be used on many different terrains and are far more flexible than four wheelers. They are also lighter. They are more prone to punctures, so you will require a repair kit and spare inner tubes on hand.

The downside of having larger wheels is that they make some buggies quite broad and may struggle to squeeze through narrow spaces. This is an issue if you're using it as an exercise bike or to to get through narrow doorways when out and about. Luckily, most models have small folding options that allow you to remove the front wheels to make compact storage.

Easy to Manoeuvre

One of the main benefits to a three-wheeled buggy is that it is much more maneuverable especially with a child in the back. The way they are built means that the front wheels rotate on a dime and are incredibly easy to manoeuvre which makes them perfect for difficult terrains such as parks, cobbles and bumpy pavements as well as dirt tracks.

MFM reviewer Kath tried a 3 wheeler pushchairs-wheeler with her toddler. she reported: "The Terrain is a joy to maneuver on rough terrain. The swivel wheel front was particularly helpful." I was also awed by how well it dealt with kerbs, especially when using the brake operated by hand. It was extremely stable when in the downhills or on a rough terrain."

The only drawback to this amazing maneuverability is that the larger wheels of the 3 wheel infant stroller-wheel buggy may make it difficult to squeeze into tight spaces. This is something to be aware of when your home is an urban area. If this is an issue, a 4-wheeled buggy may be the better option for you.
